The HOME HUB is a retail shop in Petaluma, California that carries unique items rescued for reuse and repurposing. Our shop arose from the desire to reduce waste and create a positive social impact. By finding new homes for second-hand items and surplus goods, we are able to put useful items back to work and keep them out of the landfill.
The HOME HUB is the vision of Chad MacDonald and Martha Freeman. Martha and Chad run the HOME HUB, and Peace Out Junk Hauling, with the help of several other resourceful and dedicated humans and one small dog named Leon.
The HOME HUB is a sister company to Peace Out Junk Hauling. Much of our inventory is gleaned from drop-offs, donations and junk hauls.
We are committed to the 5 Rs. We reuse, reduce, recycle, rebuild and re-store wherever possible. We use the large capacity trailers of our eco-focused hauling business to pick up donations, and move reusable items into the store, conserving fuel and time. Items that we cannot re-store are routed to local donation centers or recycling facilities for appropriate disposal.
We offset our environmental impact by designating a portion of our sales to contributions to thoughtful organizations that support the environment and make a difference in people's lives.
